Key Responsibilities:

The role is primarily focussed on understanding, contributing to and implementing the global environmental product strategy - as a global organisation we need to present a factual and cohesive environmental strategy to their markets which acknowledges the regional differences but reflects a single vision.

This role will be focussed on building the environmental conformance material behind every product they sell; this will be done through working with the development engineers, supplier development team, product management team and the chemical analysis team. Conformance certification will also require liaison with external test houses and environmental organisations to complete third party accreditation.

You will also be gathering and analysing material make up of their products to produce regional appropriate product data sheets and product labelling.

Your main function will be to support the Head of Safety & Sustainability who will act as the primary conduit to the market and their customers but also be the point of contact for all environmental issues for the Product Management and Research and Development teams and provide expert advice. You will take responsibility for the knowledge of applicable environmental voluntary standards and regional legislation and how the company communicates their Design for the Environment philosophy to internal stakeholders, dealers and customers.

You will maintain a detailed repository of product environmental data to support tenders and customer questions.

You will also be working closely with their US colleagues to understand the environmental strategy and where the company can apply this in EMEA.

Key Requirements:

  • A recognised degree qualification in an environmental or sustainability or related subject with an analytical background. Minimum 3 years relevant experience.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently and in a compelling manner in both verbal and written forms
  • Must demonstrate high levels of drive and energy
  • Strong personal and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Can write in a clear and concise manner appropriate to purpose and audience
  • Can deliver clear and well-planned presentations to others
  • Understands the business process, the function of each part of the organisation, the roles of individuals and the interaction between groups and individuals
  • Valid UK Driver's license
