Process Engineering Manager

Full time (37.50 hrs pw) Office based in Waterlooville, Hampshire with off sites visits in the UK and occasionally abroad


WPL is an internationally recognised leader in the design, manufacture and supply of standardised and bespoke environmental solutions.

We are currently looking for a Process Engineering Manager to lead and manage the WPL engineering team as a process solution based capability. Ensuring good engineering and general process knowledge in line with our business and customer expectations.

Ensuring compliance of all projects in line with the relevant industry and company standards and directives.


Key Responsibilities:

Leading and managing WPL’s engineering team in both a commercial and process projects based environment

Technical contract management and negotiation, both pre-and post-contract, including contract review, ensuring contractual requirements can be realised

Attend and lead customer meetings on engineering related activities, providing technical negotiation

Oversee the management of the database of engineering templates, conducting a regular audit of these

Oversee the design drawings, construction drawings and parts lists using AutoCAD and Solidworks, whilst ensuring consistency of information produced.

Reviewing and approving relevant drawings produced by WPL.

Accountable for ensuring engineering milestones are met and relevant systems, processes and procedures are adhered to, and if / where required are put into place

Managing and ensuring projects are completed on time and to budget.

Managing and liaising with customers to get the best outcomes out of a project.

Analytical and report writing for internal reviews and feedback

Collaboration across the company internally and externally to ensure the desired outcome in line with business and customer expectations


Essential skills and competencies required

Engineering based degree or equivalent

Process Design Knowledge / designing process solutions

Management and delivery of product / projects in a technical engineering capacity

Leadership and management of an engineering team

Project management

Commercially astute

Excellent verbal and written communication

Autocad / Solidworks

MS Office



Knowledge of treatment plant process engineering

Practical hand on mechanical / electrical engineering


Salary £35,000 - £40,000

Pension 5% company contribution

Death in service / critical illness at x3 salary
