The University is pleased to announce that the Centre of Advanced Performance Engineering is entering into an exciting phase of its development with its move into the National Centre for Motorsport Engineering (NCME) from September 2017. The £13.5 million build is well on the way and will house laboratories for Mechanical, Electrical and Advanced Performance Engineering as well as being the home to the Keating Supercar. Exciting employment opportunities are therefore now available as we make this transition into the new National Centre which has a ground breaking vision that will alter the way that Engineering courses are delivered.

NCME has set out its journey in being established through the formation of three areas of expertise subjects to further consultation, these being;

  • Vehicle Engineering – Analysis of race vehicles and vehicle systems
  • Structures – Design, development and manufacture of new and existing vehicles
  • Engine Management & Data Acquisition – Engine development and track side engineering and telematics
