EP 05 Controls Systems - Automotive Engineering
Our Clients are looking for SKILLED Controls and System engineers.
You will be working on both new and existing projects associated with the development of luxury vehicles, 4x4's, & Hybrid Vehicles. You may have gained similar Engineering experience within Passenger Aircraft, Leisure Marine Craft and Passenger Rail Rolling Stock .
Ideally this position would suit an Engineer with experience gained at one of the important transportation manufacturers - Jaguar, Land Rover, MG, Rover, BMW, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Honda, Toyota, Bombardier, Alstrom, BEA Systems, Westland, Airbus or Peugeot.
Working knowledge of one or more of the following Vehicle Systems will be useful:-
Calibration, Vehicle Controls. Auto code generation and real time embedded systems.
Experience in liaising with suppliers on control issues and software.
Creation of control software in Target link.
Experience in software environment including C+, capability to use software quality tools and processes.
X760 / L550 User Controls, design of electro-mechanical components.
Developement of electrical system for user controls
A surface development, electro-mechanical design, project management, ability to develop electrical system interfaces knowledge of CAN and LIN.
Good working knowledge of either On Board Diagnostics to EU5/Federal (Gasoline) standards.
Good Working knowledge on use of INCA, Matlab, Excel, Word, Project and Access.
Good working knowledge of engine management systems
Working knowledge of the Bosch engine management system.
Working knowledge of Vehicle Electrical Systems.
Advanced driver assistance systems
Good working knowledge of either OBD to EU5/Federal (Gasoline) standards or EMS Systems Good Working knowledge on use of INCA, Matlab, Excel, Word, Project and Access. Good working knowledge of engine management systems
Working knowledge of the Bosch engine management system. Working knowledge of Vehicle Electrical Systems
Development and Management of JLR approved infotainment Smartphone Apps.
Knowledge of different Smartphone platforms.
Knowledge of mobile App development process.
Knowledge of USB / CAN / MOST / Ethernet Software and database administration
Management of software licenses (Open Source & Fee based) for Next Generation Infotainment (NGI).
Past experience of managing software in automotive, consumer electronics or telecomms industry.
Experience in software function definition and interface specification for vehicle networks.
Experience in CAN network protocols.
Experience in vehicle stability control systems and their associated interfaces
Matlab and INCA experience would be ideal.
Model Based Calibration experience.
Gasoline/Petrol engine calibration, with experience of driveability or emissions calibration.
ETAS Inca Mathworks.
Model-based Calibration Toolbox.
Proven delivery experience in dyno and vehicle driveability development.
Proven delivery experience in dyno and vehicle emissions development.
Experience of Bosch engine control strategy.
Experience of Simulink and Control systems.
Working knowledge of base engine calibration to include, but not limited to, ignition, fuelling, VVT and knock.
Alternatively, Working knowledge of one or more of the following Manufacturing Equipment Systems will be useful:-
Manufacturing Equipment Controls
Detailed understanding of CNC, PLC and Robotic control systems.
A thorough understanding of plant and facility equipment.
Helpful to have a working knowledge of one of the Ford / Jaguar / Land Rover project delivery processes such GPDS / FPDS / PPAP / FMEA.
Working knowledge of change management processes AIMS, WERS, PACN FPDS, GPDS, also.
Possibly knowledge of quality tools EFDVS, DFMEA, APQP and DVP, PNR & specialist subjects like CAN, INCA, CANalizer, MOST and LIN bus - CAE / Matlab / Simulink / ADAMS, DOORS, FMEA, FEA & CATIA V5, IT & software and so on.
