Aerospace Project Engineer - Essex - £30,000 - £45,000 + Benefits - Ref 182280

I am currently recruiting for an Aerospace Project Engineer to work for a leading engineering organisation based in Essex. Salary between £30,000 - £45,000 + Benefits depending upon experience.

The organisation has been established for over 50 years and has a reputation for delivering world class products into the aerospace and defence markets. To support the growth of the business they are now in a position to recruit a Project Engineer.

Your role will be to support the Engineering Manager on technical issues as appropriate. Oversee and supervise projects and coordinate team members. Typically you will be leading a project team of 6 people made up with mechanical and thermal engineers. You will be managing up to 3 projects simultaneously and the average project length from inception to completion is 2 years. However, they take on a new project every year so you in theory you have 3 projects at any one time on the go all at different phases within the life cycle which makes it a very varied and exiting role. In this role you will taking projects from requirement gathering, to specification, to design and development, to qualification and then through to certification. Your role will be to ensure that all deliverables within the project typically time and budget are met and that the product complies with relevant standards for the end client.

Requirements:

* Degree educated

* At least 3 years' experience in a Project Engineering role

* Previous experience working in an environment where you've taking designs and products through the whole life cycle

* Experience in the Aerospace Industry
Desirables:

* Experience working in a safety critical environment

* Ideally experience in Avionics / Aircraft
This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a leading engineering organisation who are leaders within their field on a global basis. They massively support career progression and will always look to internally promote opposed to externally recruit where possible.

This is an immediate requirement so if you do have the required skills and experience then please get in touch ASAP with an updated copy of your CV. Either apply direct or send a CV to a.vandendungen@roc-search.com
