My client has been a leading global technology provider established in the early 1900's who operate in over 30 countries globally. The are currently actively seeking a Manufacturing Engineer / Manufacturing & Process Engineer with a strong continuous and lean manufacturing background, who has experience supplying into the construction, Steelwork, Aerospace or similar industries. The position offers great career advancement opportunities for the right person.

Salary - £35K - £41K (DOE)
Working Hours - 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 rotating weekly
Pension - 10% company contribution
25 days holiday + bank holidays

Support and liaise with all manufacturing personnel to aid the successful resolution of issues in daily manufacturing activities
Maintain, develop and optimise key processes to reduce costs, improve quality, and reduce machine resetting time, whilst ensuring all aspects of operations are both safe and efficient
Liaise with management to investigate actual and potential risks/obsolescence and succession plans/improvement opportunities
Design, evaluate, lead and implement and commission projects within time and cost constraints
Train and support employees knowledge, competency and flexibility within the production and maintenance teams
Actively participate in Six Sigma, 5s and lean manufacturing activities, working closely with other departments to support continuous improvements
Comply with statutory and company regulations regarding health and safety and the wellbeing of the team
Maintain own knowledge of internal and external developments and translate new ideas into production techniques and procedures
Liaise with external contractors to assist in the development and repair of all machinery/plant
Communicate presentations and technical reports, both verbally and in writing
Based in Luton

Experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Manufacturing & Process Engineer
In-depth knowledge of process improvement techniques, including lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.
Apprentice trained or Degree qualified in mechanical engineering or manufacturing / production
Will ideally have experience working in a fast-paced, quick turn-around manufacturing environment
