MHI Vestas Offshore Wind is a fast-paced and growing international company, rapidly becoming a significant player in the offshore wind industry. We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to take responsibility for ensuring that production methods deliver a consistent high quality output.   

You will join a team of highly competent quality colleagues dedicated to ensuring best-in-class quality processes and methods. 

Responsibilities and tasks   

The main responsibility of the position is to ensure quality in the production processes and ensure proper reporting as part of our continuous quality improvement. You will work with implementation of various quality methods, and in addition you can expect the following tasks:

  • Ensuring identification of critical issues, prioritizing improvement projects.  
  • Implementing and maintaining the Management System.  
  • Reporting quality performance used for initiating improvement activities.  
  • Planning, initiating and coordinating continuous improvement activities based on CAPA methods.  
  • Involvement in the ISO 9001 certification processes.  
  • Involvement in internal audit.  
  • Handling Non-Conforming products.  
  • Follow up on quality matters in general.  
  • Review of documentation before shipment to customers

Engineering, Six Sigma and Lean Management   

You have a relevant formal education in quality or engineering. We expect you to have at least 5 years of experience in a quality engineer role in a manufacturing environment where you have worked with electrical and mechanical processes. It would be an advantage if you have knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean (both minimum Green Belt), but it is not required.   

In addition, it is essential that you have:   

  • Experience in implementation of QMS according to ISO9001.  
  • Understanding of audit processes at minimum ISO9001 (if possible also ISO14001 and OHSAS18001).  
  • Capacity to live up to the defined Quality KPI.
