Our client is one of the UK's leading next generation energy solution provider & they are currently seeking to employ a Mechanical Engineer / Marine Engineer to carry out maintenance on engines & turbines used across a range of industries including power generation, marine engineering, Renewable Energy, Oil & Gas etc.

As part of a small friendly team, you will troubleshoot, service & repair turbine engines, perform rework & maintenance & ensure proper & safe use of tools & systems.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in working on heavy plant, reciprocating engines, turbines, or other process plant such as power plant or water treatment plant. With a mechanical engineering qualification to HNC level or similar experience you will ideally possess a good knowledge of workshop hand tools (i.e lathes, seat cutters etc) & be competent in rebuild & repair / PPM work of large engines. Experience gained on weapons systems (for example in the Royal Navy) may also be suitable.

The successful candidate will receive a salary in the range £30,000 up to £34,000 along with benefits including a company pension scheme.

Driving licence required due to occasional work in the Portsmouth Dockyard.
