We seek an experienced Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Coordinator, with extensive experience in a manufacturing environment, working with electrical, electronic and mechanical equipment. You will have responsibily for the department's Computerised Maintenance Management (CMM) system, coordinating the maintenance team and nominated sub-contract service activities, and working to ensure both regular preventative and breakdown maintenance is performed.

As Maintenance Coordinator, you will be:

* Managing CMM system, maintaining preventative and reactive maintenance scheduling
* Directing the maintenance team - planning, assigning, monitoring and recording performed maintenance of plant, equipment and facilities
* Planning/arranging work schedules for contractors, ensuring all method statements and risk assessment obtained before commencement of the work
* Meeting the legislatative standards/frequencies for plant and associated equipment with regards to testing and examination
* Taking a collaborative approach to the work with colleagues all departments; especially engineering and production, working to achieve agreed service level agreements (SLAs)
* Managing the relevant documentation and maintaining a cost database for all work carried out, and reporting as required Taking responsibility for spares availability, stock levels, tracking maintenance equipment (achieving a balance between availability and cost)
* Coordinating/organising training of the Maintenance team

We would like to hear from you if you have:

* Recognized apprenticeship with City & Guilds in an Engineering discipline and/or BTEC certificate in Operations & Maintenance Engineering
* 'A' level or equivalent in English and Maths and/or NVQ level 2 in Administration
* Solid experience in multi-skilled electro-mechanical maintenance in a complex engineering manufacturing environment
* Advanced IT skills; to include Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
* Good working knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management systems (CMM) software in an engineering environment
* Strong planning and organising skills, with the drive and ability to work under pressure to achieve goals and deadlines
* Excellent administrative and time management skills
* Proven analytical skills and the ability to use initiative
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to write technical reports
* Flexible and positive approach to all aspects of service delivery
