Test Engineer - Warwickshire - £30,000 - £45,000 + Benefits - Ref 205780

I am currently recruiting for as Test Engineer to work for a state of the art multinational engineering organisation based in Warwickshire. Salary £30,000 - £45,000 + Benefits depending upon experience.

The organisation operates in 18 countries and employs over 2000 employees which spans across 4 continents. They operate at the forefront of their market and are the world leaders for the products they design and manufacture.

This is a hands on Test Engineer role and will be Lab based. You will be working in a team of 10 other Mechanical Test and Development Engineers and aim to grow to 14 by the end of 2018. Your role will be to do a lot of component based testing for a whole host of complex systems that serve the automotive industry. The test programmes can range from 6-weeks to 1 year. In this role you will write a test plan specification, you will then build the test rig, perform the test itself, write a test report and then analyse the results and findings. From this you will then feedback to other departments mainly design.

Essential Requirements:

* At least 2 years commercial experience

* Previous experience wiring test specifications

* Previous hands on testing experience

* Experience building your own test rigs

* Experience in a mechanical environment

Desirable requirements:

* Specific experience of preventative maintenance and calibration methods.

* Knowledge of automotive engineering (commercial vehicles) and Validation / Verification Methodologies.

* Measurement techniques with the ability to extrapolating data for reports.

* Knowledge / use of QS9001 / APQP procedures.

* Experience in use of general purpose mechanical laboratory test equipment

* Use of proprietary software packages for reporting data and generating specification. HIL/Mathworks and Labview.

* Knowledge of pneumatic systems

* Working knowledge of 8D problem solving process

* Working knowledge of FMEA and DVP&R process
