Senior and Principal Engineers
Cognity is an innovative company, offering bespoke equipment design and the provision of high-end engineering services to the global energy industry. Rapid expansion has led to several vacancies for experienced and driven Senior and Principal Engineers to join our Aberdeen team.
We pride ourselves on our ability to undertake complex engineering projects and complete each to the highest standard. Senior and Principal Engineers provide technical input into mechanical, structural, design and analysis scopes, with projects encompassing problem solving, engineering troubleshooting, conceptual design support and detailed design support. Projects are often fast turnaround, and the majority are technically complex and challenging.
This role requires individuals with a strong design background with a proven track record in mechanical engineering, and developing and assessing engineering problems from first principals. You should have considerable mechanical engineering experience. Familiarity with FEA would be an advantage but is not essential. The successful candidates will be Degree qualified (B.Eng minimum) and ideally chartered, though this is not pre-requisite.
Previous Oil & Gas experience is not required – candidates from other industries (including defence, automotive, nuclear, aerospace) will most certainly be considered and welcomed, and full training will be available as required to get up to speed with the industry.
