Program Manager – Electronic Components

The Role
An opportunity to join TRW, one of the world’s most successful tier one automotive suppliers that has recently posted record financial results. TRW is now looking for a highly experienced program manager to manage large cross-functional teams to deliver objectives for the new product introduction of a one or more major components supporting a customer focused programme.
What you’ll do
- Lead cross functional teams, directly and through Project Managers, to ensure that project objectives, requirements and measures of performance are clearly communicated, tracked, prioritised and delivered
- Prepare and deliver customer defined project activities
- Establish and control plans for introducing new products into production in line with TRW GDPIM process (Gates 3 to 8)
- Assess risk factors that could affect the satisfactory delivery of the program, and implement appropriate risk management strategies
- Be responsible for products from introduction to end of production, including driving cost reduction implementation and product enhancements into the customer base and managing supplier changes
- Support regular Team Reviews as appropriate and presentation of project status to VP level, with defined recovery plans, as required
What we are looking for
Essential:
- Degree in programme management or an engineering subject
- Significant experience in the development, manufacture, supply and support of high integrity products in an automotive environment
- Track record of delivering results
- Able to work effectively wth customers, suppliers, other stakeholders and within teams
- Excellent influencing skills
- Analytical and problem solving approach to work
- Strong communication skills
- Able to show initiative
- Willing and able to travel globally
- Experience of automotive APQP processes
- Financial management skills
Desirable:
- PPAP process knowledge
- Program Management Institute Membership
- Six Sigma Green Belt
