This team consists of key design specialists covering many key design skills (e.g. Microprocessors (16 & 32 bit), Power Supplies, Power Filtering and Switching, Motor Control, ASIC design and development, analogue design, EMC) and systems knowledge (e.g. Automotive, Safety, Sensors, EPS (Electric Power Steering), EPHS (Electrically Powered Hydraulic Steering) and Powertrain). This role will be directly involved in design and development activities for EPS, EPHS and Powertrain. The key skills being sort for this role, are primarily expertise in Power Electronic design (Motor Drives, Power Filtering, Power Supplies etc.) with a level of Management experience, but a good understanding of general electronic design, processes and tools is, also, required.
What you’ll do
As part of this team, you will develop your expertise in:
- Electronic Circuit Design: Creation of new electronic circuit designs, covering a wide range of digital and analogue technologies, for high volume, safety critical automotive control systems. Good understanding of electronic components and manufacturing assembly techniques and processes
- Electronic Circuit Analysis: Tolerancing and worse case using various simulation (eg. Saber, Spice) and analysis tools (eg. Excel, Mathcad)
- Safety and Reliability Analysis: Performing FMEA, FTA, reliability analysis in support of ISO 26262/IEC61508 work packages and analysis
- Generation of Requirements and Test Documents: Generating documentation in support of TRW procedures and engineering design and development activities
