QUALITY ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL)
HINCKLEY, LEICESTERSHIRE
With over 100 years of history behind us, Triumph is still a privately-owned British company. Our motorcycles are designed, developed and built at our Hinckley factory, one of the most technologically advanced plants in the world.
A vacancy has arisen for an enthusiastic experienced Electrical Quality Engineer, preferably from an automotive supply background, to be based at our manufacturing plant at Hinckley.
Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, the key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Input into the design of electrical components and establishing electrical manufacturing processes
- Liaison with suppliers
- Component approval
- Fault finding and preventative action
- Supplier audits and supplier development
- Current support for existing models
You will need to have a good understanding of a broad range of manufacturing processes, including SMT PCB technology, automotive harness manufacture and electronic end of line test methods. You will also need to have experience of working with other manufacturing processes and have a clear understanding of engineering drawings and standards.
Practical experience of bench testing and analysis of components, utilising oscilloscope, signal generators and other test equipment is essential for the role, along with the ability to demonstrate the following skills:
- Computer literate
- Able to communicate well at all levels
- Work well independently as well as in team situations
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Flexibility to carry out a wide range of tasks
The successful candidate will hold a minimum qualification level of HNC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic engineering.
