Energy Efficiency Manager
EDF Energy is the UK’s leading generator and supplier of low carbon energy. Increasingly, we are also providing energy services to our business customers alongside this. In this key role, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of large scale energy efficiency projects for our business customers, helping these organisations meet their carbon emissions targets and reduce their energy consumption.

About the role

This role is all about helping business customers reduce consumption, costs and carbon footprint. Visiting customer offices across the country, you’ll carry out thorough audits to determine how their energy is being used. Looking at everything from electrical systems and building fabric, to lighting and HVAC, you’ll produce energy efficiency reports; identifying opportunities to make savings and to produce low-carbon energy on-site. You’ll come up with business cases and plan and execute multi-million pound projects ranging from large scale onsite renewable energy generation to full office refurbishments and industrial process optimization, working with suppliers and contractors, coordinating efforts to bring projects to completion. To succeed is to support an area of huge growth at the centre of our B2B strategy, and to develop alongside a business area that’s really going places.

About you

A Chartered Engineer or Project Manager, you’ll come from a background in the energy, process or construction industries. You will have a strong understanding of UK health & safety legislation and Construction Design & Management regulations. Having worked on high value, complex infrastructure projects, you will have excellent project management experience. But just as important as your technical knowledge are the personal attributes you bring to the role. Building relationships with contractors and colleagues alike calls for first-rate communication skills, plus the ability to excel in a team-focused environment. Bring us all this, and you could soon be making a real impact on the UK’s energy future.

About EDF Energy

A wholly-owned subsidiary of the EDF Group, itself one of Europe's largest energy groups, EDF Energy is one of the UK’s largest energy companies and its largest producer of low-carbon electricity. What really sets us apart, however, is our fresh approach to the industry. Everything we do is underpinned by a clear customer focus and a drive towards a sustainable future. Because it’s these two factors, we believe, that will define the UK energy industry for generations to come.
