The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) is a world-leading professional body with over 100,000 members, working in ground breaking areas from sustainable energy and aerospace to Formula One and cutting-edge medical technology. Due to increasing levels of member engagement activity and membership numbers a number of roles have arisen with their business development team.
The function of the business development team is to engage existing members and recruit new members to the Institution. The successful candidates will be expected to maximise opportunities for membership recruitment, while maintaining the integrity and credibility of the IMechE membership offer and the brand. Working with engineers throughout industry and academia these exciting posts will see the successful applicant identifying, developing and supporting the engineering community in the region.
Roles exist both for hands-on business development and in team management. Experience of working in business development within a member-based organisation or an engineering environment is essential. There is the potential to be based in either London or the Midlands.
