Applications are invited for a KTP Associate position to work on a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) between the University of Sheffield and Controlled Power Technologies Ltd (CPT), who are looking to study, investigate and develop energy management system implementations on all CPT technologies and products for customers worldwide.
The post holder will establish the power profile of system level hardware for existing CPT products using both the NEDC and "real world" application profiles. In addition, they will be familiar with vehicle electrical systems and the interaction of their constituent parts, with particular emphasis on the energy management functionality, and will determine the most suitable management storage system for CPT from a performance/cost perspective.
The successful applicant will have a PhD or be working towards a PhD (or equivalent experience) in energy management and/or power electronics. You should have a strong scientific background in electrical engineering, in particular electrical machines/electromagnetic devices, power electronics or power systems.
This post is fixed-term for 24 months.
